Does a baiting pole play a part in your fishing? If so are you using it to it’s full advantage. Personally I have been at fault of not using a baiting pole if I believe I can cast to the spot however in the past 2 years I have completely flipped it on it’s head. Now the question I ask myself is will the baiting pole reach that spot? If it is a yes it is a no brainer that I will utilise it to my advantage and ensure that I am being as accurate and as quiet as possible. Being able to silently drop a rig onto a spot the size of a dinner plate is undoubtedly going to give you an advantage over crashing a lead on the spot. This method has accounted for a number of special carp for me and it really isn’t surprising when you put it like that!
